Derek Pearson, the driving force behind DP Wild Artistry, brings over ten years of extensive taxidermy experience to his studio in Nanaimo. His journey includes valuable time spent at Sugar Creek Taxidermy and Mountain View Taxidermy in Alberta, where he mastered the art of life-size mounts and specialized in exotic African animals. These experiences have equipped him with a profound skill set and deep knowledge, enabling him to handle thousands of diverse projects over the years. Today, he proudly owns and operates DP Wild Artistry, continuing to serve a wide range of clients with dedication and expertise.

Contact Us over the phone or via email. We can discuss your project, prices and set a date to drop off your animal or plan a shipment.

Make a Deposit

A deposit is required in order to cover the costs of material including the tanning process. Deposit must be made prior to shipping.

Ship Or Drop Off

For local customers we offer pickup and drop off services for an extra fee. Remote clients must pay for shipping their animal to the studio and for the return shipment.

Collect Your Trophy

Completion times will vary depending on the type of taxidermy services you require. However, generally speaking the process is between 6 - 18 months

He became renowned for his innovative approach to custom mold creation, meticulously disassembling and reassembling pre-existing molds. This meticulous process allowed him to faithfully recreate any scene chosen by the hunter, offering a unique and deeply personal way to immortalize their memorable experiences in the wild.
